Interesting home-made(?) mixer on eBay

Any thoughts on this beast? Seller claims it's ex BBC but unless it was a prototype, I can't see how that's possible. All the circuits seem to be on veroboard.

As far as I can tell, Willsher and Quick were purely a metalworking company, they didn't make mixers as such. So it looks as though they supplied the enclosure and the contents were hand made by someone.

Yes, I noticed that and wondered the same - the PPM is BBC-style and those big black transformers might have an LL designation, but whether it's a Beeb prototype or not I couldn't say.

Certainly a labour of love! It's a shame there's no documentation or power supply.

I think it's elaborate diy - the LM1035 DC-controlled tone control is heavily un-pro and dates it around 1991, the transistors in the 60'es

Some of the transformers look clearly re-purposed - the beep wouldn't
