take a look at the close-up pic of the inside of the t4... i wonder if the seller knows that this is nonstandard? -Or who did the mod?

ya I think he is aware

Probably neither as much as the turn-on curve and threshold point.

The original EL turns on at many volts. The LEDs turn on at under 10V. The attack and decay are assumed to be largely defined by the saturation of the LDRs which -presumably- are unchanged.

oops

guess not,.. the LED's are wired into the EL panel points... looks almost like theres tape wrapped around the EL
 
how the hell could that even work? if the LDR's are in the normal location and not turned around then the EL is certainly blocking the light...
