It is just a prototype, so it is a little messy.

Also thought people might be interested in seeing some boxes made with the technique outlined awhile ago using metal wall studs. This is my SSL and first attempt at making my own box. With some practice one could make them very nice.

If Steffen?s box makes his sound warm, fat and funky, mine sounds hard and aggressive  (may girlfriend say it looks ?Mean?) the photos don?t do justice to its tank like quality. It is unfinished, but I thought people would be more curious to see how it looks this way as opposed to finished, with all the flaws hidden.

Another toolbox conversion :guinness: Content over style.

I wouldn't recommend trying to take any of your creations through airport security though.

Could show up to a gig in overalls and the toolbox, looking all Plumber-ish, and announce "I'm yer ree-kordin' injuneer!"

Imagine the looks. :thumb:

I always wanted to put a Guitar Amp Head in a tool box just like that.

excellent work :thumb:
... and I like the fact that the low brow ssl is in the company of the Eventide H3000B

OK... you need to get some wacky spray paint, some truly cheeseball knobs, like off of 1960s hi-fi consoles, and then market your stuff as "URBAN GUERILLA SOUND GEAR". Kinda overpriced artsiness like Zvex pedals yanno?

put it on evilbeey, you could have someone buying you a ticket to one year of FOC DIY!

Any saleshype-poets step to the plate!

UNBELIVABLE!!!
And I thought Bluebirds equaliser or CJ's point to point constructions are the top of the line. :green: :green: :green:
I hope you will not go to hell for this blasphemy. :green:

Hey, when I was about 14 years old, my best friend and I built a transistor guitar booster inside of a cardboard cigar box. I used it to overdrive the input of my Webster-Chicago amp. The booster worked great until I accidentally stepped on it and crushed the box.

Thanks for all the ... err... ?kind? word. If I am not already on my way to hell this will not push me over.

The output transformers are API output transformers (what is the number again). Those and the 2520s came were on the same card, must have been for aux outs or something, but I don?t know.

Anyone know where I can find rack ears for the SSL? I though Middle Atlantic used to sell them, but I have not been able to find anything on them.
