Is there any reason an Oktava SDC couldn't work with a KM84 circuit?

I have a couple of Oktava capsules for the MK012 but no mic body, (drummer skipped town with the cardioid and mic body,) I wonder if I could use them with a different circuit like the KM84. I think it should work, but please let me know if I'm missing something obvious to more knowledgeable folks.

Here's my plan: I will buy an Oktava pad, like this, to use for the threads, and remove the internal capacitor …

And then perhaps Graeme Woller's MXL 603 -> KM84 Replacement PCB. Stuff it all in a copper pipe.

Do you think that would work?

Any word on how your experiment turned out, Kato?

Well, dudes, I bought the copper pipe.
And I bought the thread adapter (i.e. pad.)

And then I freaked out about how many projects buried deep I am. Decided to focus selling some projects and eliminating some credit card debt.

I briefly revisited the CJ47 mini-tube mic project last month, a project I already had all the parts for.

The magic smoke poured from the power supply and I put it away.

I promise: when I get my shit sorted out, I'll give this a proper go. :)
