Has anyone ever heard of one of these:

I've seen the fostex printed ribbon, but I don't remember seeing this before.

Kind of moving conductor, called "printed ribbon"

Yes, but fostex is circular, this is rectangular.

Can be good for drums. Rugged, stable, cheep and not need transformer.

Can you get magnetic ink for your printer?

You could theoretically print out a circuit trail and use it as an inductor/ribbon combination type microphone.

Anyone try this at home?

Yes, magnetic ink can print magnets. But induction
order of 0.01 T. Too weak for microphones.
