Hi everybody! yesterday I was playing guitar with some friends and i burned the amplifier power output section...black smoke and everything!
ok, the amp is not mine so it would be nice to give it back to the owner in working conditions..
i have to replace power transistors 2sa1492/2sc3856 and the drivers 2sc4382/2sa1668, and that's just fine.
the problem is a to-92 package transistor labeled C550C.. i can't work out what is it, is it a japanese bc550? or what?
well, thanks in advance for the tons of answers, i'll really appreciate!!
bye

thanks a lot guys!

i'll try with the transistors you suggested Nathan, great!
do you have a link or something for japanese transistors cross reference chart please? thanks!

for sure sir!
i'm trying to fix the thing just to charge him the repair cost too!

Either it is a BC550C, either a 2SC550C...
I didn't found any mention of a C variant of 2SC550...
According to the datasheet, the 2SC550 is a 1.5A/10Watts part in a TO60 package...
That doesn't look like a TO92 to me...
So I would guess it is a BC550C...
