Hi,

I found some old Jensen capacitors in an old box:
'TJ'-logo, 'JENSEN Capacitors', 'made in Denmark', 'type OA'.

Just curious, any idea what kind of (foil-)caps these are ?
They have small values but do many volts
(the big one is 1.8nF @ 5kV, the small ones are each 8.2nF @ 2kV).

The image is a lowquality version; the linked image is better (120kbytes)

Just guessing, if the added figures are datecodes they'll be early 60ties.

Thanks,

Peter

Those go for major money.
Not nickels and dimes.
I would say those average 20 dollars a piece.

Thanks for the info :thumb:

That's actually dumb of me - I didn't expect to find anything on the web so didn't even search since expecting the brand had long gone - but even the logo is still the same !

So what else do we got, jensentransformers, jensenspeakers, jensencapacitors, jensenresistors, jensenvaricaps, jensentransistors, ...

That brings back a funny memory.

In histrory class in Jr. Highschool we had two people with tha last name of Jensen, and a guy named Gary Christensen.

Well, one of the Jensen guy's first name was Chris, so we had a Chris Jensen, and a Gary Christensen. So during class a bunch of us troublemakers would wisper "chrisjensen!" and both Chris Jensen and Gary Christensen would turn their heads towards the back of the class (the place where all the troublemakers sit) and look at us at the same time! It's funny how many times we got them both to look before they finally unloaded their Pavlovian respone mechanism.

I know, only a freak like me would get a kick out of something lame like that.
