Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been looking through this board for some time now and haven't really needed to ask a question yet. I am a noobie to the DIY thing, but I have been working in recording and music forever...well at least up till now. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, holding hands, and circus clowns. (Sorry!)

This is an AWESOME forum. I have learned a lot and have been able to find answers to questions I have encountered. I haven't had time to really get started on any of the DIY projects I have decided to take on (other than parts sourcing). But I thought I would at least come in and say hello and finally make myself known.

So....Hello

You also seem to have a good sense of humor, which is helpful here. Welcome.

I would drop the mention of circus clowns though---at least on the first few dates.

Watch out for the usual sympthoms(sp?): stacks of PCBs piling up, hardly any lead fumes, tons of ideas for circuits and filling hard-drives. The best moments in life coincide with those days that the forum is down

I have always been afraid of circus clowns! Just kidding.

Welcome to the board! I think I am considered a junior member. Hopefully someone will confirm that and disband my inferiority complex... :)

But is a great place to learn cool stuff. I wish you well!

I only have 1 pcb set unstuffed. So I think I am good in that respect heheh...

yep, thats my studio down to a tee

It doesn't feel to bad actually, it means that I spend more time on making music and other things in life. I made sure to get PCBs for timeless stuff... when I'm old I can still solder, but I most likely won't have the energy for the music I'd like to make

And software sounds soo good these days, why bother making those boxes

welcome. This forum is one of the best audio electronics on the web as far as I have experienced. This is because many people here around the world are true and wish to help you in whatever electronic audio effort that you choose. We mostly enjoy the lack of viral advertisers and their somewhat stealth advertising opinions such as on other boards.

Learning through the archives of knowledge here is a wonderful thing.

Someday you'll show us what you have achieved by the knowledge gained here. Some of us like to see those results. : ))

cheeeers~

Thank you everyone for all the kind words.

My first project...as soon as I get a little free time...is four channels of green pre. I thought that would be a cool thing...because...you can never have too many preamps. From there the want list goes on and on. I have a couple more mod projects sitting on the bench too.

As you guys have mentioned, I have noticed that everyone here is very helpful and not judgemental, which is too often not something you see in online forums.

Cheers! :guinness:
