For 500 bucks, that's a lot of kit!

If I had the time (and money) I'd be all over this...
 
So for $500 you get these parts that can be assembled various ways into an xyz sled? Along with controller and motors?
They mention it works with various tools like dremel, bosch-roto-zip-thing, etc...
Looks like more for wood though may work well for engraving panels and possibly some cutting.

Thoughts?

I kicked in, figuring it'll give me a great excuse to buy a laser some time ;-)
 
They have a coupe designs, moving gantry, stationary gantry,etc. All that is built by you. They just supply the intricate precision parts. Looks like it world be suitable for engraving aluminum panels, maybe cut a little.
