We have just finished the second series of my tube synths.
It has been pretty intensive in many respects. I finally managed to secure a good supply of the Thyratron tubes for oscillators. I noticed at some point during the Spring that there are huge differences in the way thyratrons work in a synth oscillator, and only by luck the stock I had bought previously was good. Later I got several different brands, even same brand but different construction, and finally only one of them was OK. Different kinds of weird scales, weird noises, instabilities etc which would not be a problem in the original intended use, but no go for synths.
Not the most profitable business, but very rewarding in other ways. Here are some pictures.

For the first time we used high speed laser cut covers. The machine time costs a lot, but OTOH the machine cuts so incredibly fast, that even this amount of holes was not a problem.
