Hi!
I'm considering buying some broken Krk vxt6 monitors.
Monitor#1 details: "Scratches on left side and back left edge; auto mute switch is broken; no output."
Monitor#2 details: " It does not power on, the ground lift and clip limiter switches are broken, it is scratched on the sides and has a dinged bottom corner."
Are the vxt6 easy to fix. Or is it small smd-components and dsp-stuff?
I'm not very skilled, but guess I can fix some broken switches, resolder loose wires, track down some broken components and replace them.
At least if I have two units and can compare them.
I'm designing a new 9m^2 studio for myself and getting a nice set of monitors for it
seems like a good idea. So, I thought this could get me there without blowing my budget.
They ask $450 for the pair, a little much I think (considered they're broken). I'll ask them for a quote.
Do you think this is a doable/worthwhile for me?
Thanks!
