Is it normal for the primary to be wound underneath the secondary on a lamninated EI style mains transformer.
The reason I asked is I managed to get a set of spare power supplies for my console relatively cheap which is very useful to be able to swap to a different supply if one goes down during a session rather than have to repair it. The problem is they are 115v rather than the 230v I need, therefore I eaither use a stepdown transformer (my least favourite option), replace the internal transformer or get them rewound. I'm just trying to weigh up my options before I start spending my hard earnt £'s
