Hi all,
does anyone here happen to have knowledge about the mentioned fader cassettes, and how to talk to them?
I've contacted Lawo, but the only material they could provide me with, were the circuit diagrams (just uploaded to the archive),
but no further information about the control protocol. I've got a whole crate of them, and absolutely want to revive them for my audio projects, they are just too sexy to discard. (touch sensor on the knob, capacitive position feedback, some sort of daisy-chain digital control protocol...)

Hi

I just have a look at the schemo.

-motor is drived by an PWM motor drive ONLY, meaning all PID control is at soft side... you will do nothing without the original computer and code printed to the memory/microcontroller
-the servo positioning is not capacitive, it's a basic fader linear track hooked to an AD converter
-there is a relay  or something like that, chance to be a fader start, (maybe what you think "capacitive" ?)

to me it look like a motorfader cassette for digital console, remote only (no audio)

My advise is to remove all electronic inside, keep the fader and hook it up to MIDIbox MB_MF

best
Zam
