LED backlighting for SSL meter?

How do i do it? What LEDs? How do I get 'em in there? How do I power 'em?

This being my first project, I'm totally in the dark. So to speak.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Better to use a bulb. Led light is unpretty.

Type, voltage and mount depends on your meter and powersupply.

Make sure you have the needed spare power for light in your power transformer.

I used some of those ultrabright blue leds - 3 connected in series. 2 for the meter (holes just drilled in meter case and leds popped in), and 1 for the power led - works fine...make sure u diffuse the meter leds (with some wet n dry say) for a more overall light...
