I thought this looked like the bees knees when I saw this until I saw the price tag.  I can't Think of the kids toy off hand but I think those blue ‘tentacles’ are available somewhere.

They are commonly available as boom arms for action cameras, but not cheap.

Good call Gold.

Those things look 1/2” think and 2nfeet long. The photo’s probably doctored and it’s a small dude working on a kiddie guitar.  Typical goosenecks are annoyingly imprecise. Unlubrication and CNC leads to extremity losses so I guess they should be sturdy f-ers.  Good find PRR.

Same color as the CNC  tubing and the orange connectors. Even a clear tubing for inhalation of your fave substance or a gas mask attachment.  I think the clear tube gives it away.

The lube-squirt joint-tube can be flexed all day as various parts go through the lathe. Longevity may also be useful if you do $200 jobs on guitars all day long.

For most DIY, coathanger wire will do, and no shipping charge. It will break in a few hundred bends, but if you don't kink it it may survive years of DIY. And replacement wire is readily available, easily changed in a moment when your mind is elsewhere. The steel may take glues and binding-wire better than plastic. In many cases a sharp bend in the wire will hold in a hole (base or gator-clip) easier than adapting to slick lumpy plastic flex.

Yes, the plastic flex looks KEWL. How many folks come to your shop to admire your third hand?

stew-mac is a rip, our music store never buys from them unless absolutely necessary.

allparts is a lot cheaper,

I can't imagine that being useful compared to the regular gizmos. I myself am happy if I've just got a Panavise, but I'm a little weird when it comes to soldering.
