was given a couple of these yesterday.
don't find any documentation on it.
all i know is the A model is a positive ground unit (B & C weren't).

also any thoughts on these units?
make 'em work?  parts?  resale?  recycle?  weight lifting?

If they have the 15095 line transformers (red plug-in cans) those are worth saving.  Some folks say the SS Altec stuff sounds good but I don't think it's valuable like the tube stuff.

These are fine sounding amps.  I have a single and can't recall the revision #.  I believe the word on the street is that the 94 was a better design than the 1593 but I've never had a chance to compare.  I've been meaning to grab another to have a pair for studio monitor use.  For now my single is serving duty pushing a pair of FOH PA speakers for one of the bands I play in.

They seem to sale for about 75.00ea on ebay last time I checked.  Doubt there is market for parts but I'd hate to have to pay for brand new OT or PT of that spec.  A few of the Hi-Fi guys have started using them but that's a fickle market by nature.  I'd get 'em healthy and enjoy them.  Altec green goes good in any rack.  8)

I'd suggest checking out one of the Altec or Lansing Heritage forums.  Lots of great info there.  I found some useful mods for the 9440A I used to have.
