M7 Capsule of UM57 mic

Hi,

A part of M7 capsule of my Neumann UM57 has been broken.

Please look at the photo.

The small component in the red circle was broken.

The part was attached at the top of the capsule.

What is the function of this part?

Is it affect the sound?
