Making my modest dreams come true

Hi everyone!
So here I am, posting my first.
I grew up in a audiophile surrounding, my father being the driving force…
As I listened to my fairy tales through quad ESLs, and more or less got hooked to good audio eversince (not related to my music-tastes though).
After some decades of being passive and a few years drooling on those DIY-project, I decided to dive into it, and have secretly built quite a few amplifiers etc., and I will continue to.
My main obstacle is that I barely understand electronics, at least not to the level I‘d wish…
Anyway, I‘ll lurk around and may ask some questions…

Oh yes absolutely!
Preamps, poweramps, phono-stages, all solid-state…
Now into turntable-prepping (just making good vintage decks usable again, and a speaker build is in the pipe…

This forum tends to be more pro audio DIY, like building mic preamps, compressors, EQ's and such, but some of us do some home stereo builds as well. I'm working on an ESP P06 phono preamp right now.

ha! I was contemplated many of elliott's projects for a long time, but never built any. (Mine is the Salas UFSP)

And some of us build our home stereo equipment with proper balanced interfaces so that the home and recording equipment designs overlap.
