Hi, this is my first ever post to GroupDIY although I have read many.
I was a bit nervous about posting as I thought my query wasn't technical enough, but I've struggled to find solutions via google searches etc. and I know the solution to my problem would be childs play to most in these forums.
I want to add an LED to the reverb swith of my guitar amps footswitch. For some reason it hasn't got one already and when I have the reverb set quite low/subtle it's hard to tell if it's on or off. Obviously I could try listening to whether it's on or off, but when you're rocking out (and in my case singing at the same time) it's nice to have a little LED telling you what's going on.
I've successfully built or moded a few pedals already, so I'm not a complete novice when it comes to getting the soldering iron out. But nearly all of what I've done so far has been a case of 'joining the dots'. I've not yet built up an understanding of 'what goes where' and 'why it goes there'.
The PCB from my footswitch looks tradgically basic, but still I'm not sure how (if possible?) to connect this LED. I've took some detailed pictures of the footswitches PCB, and I hope there is someone out there who will be kind enough to point me in the right direction.
