MItsubishi screen star

anyone have any info/pics on a mitsubishi screen star console? Found one for sale consisitng of 2 36 input consoles thrown together to make 72 input. thoughts and suggestions other then walk away not worth it?

Im pretty sure those used quad eight designed EQ's. Its not a discrete console though, so factor that into whatever you are gonna pay for it.

I doubt there's any transformers either. I had a Quad Eight/Westrex sidecar. Made just before the Mitsubishi buyout. No audio transformers at all.

I worked on a westar in Houston at Billy Gibbons' place, and really liked it. I think they are rare.

I worked on one at Strawberry... after they sold both Helioses...

okay, I suppose, but dumping the Helioses was a stunning act of stupidity, and I knew it at the time.

A little 'cold' and 'thin', but a good source of faders! :wink:

general opion is thubs down. And I can't find any pics or info on the net all I get is mitsu tv's. Anyway the console for sale was a 72 input screen star with 40 flying faders. so I am thinking it was split Vs inline. oh well back to the drawing board. At this I would be better off DIYing a console. :green:
