Modding my Samson C01... it's noisy!

what to do, what to do... has anyone modded this yet ?

read the metas the answer is there (it is the capsule causing the noise)

any ideas where i can find a new capsule..(i went and read the meta, very interesting indeed)

it doesnt look as if the capsule is amplified...where do i find a better replacement that doesnt require power ?

Do a search for C03. It's basically the same mic with an extra capsule.

Before you get too excited, though... these things are basically worthless... I threw mine in the dumpster.

I've never seen this kind of electret capsule for sale anywhere... I may be wrong, though.

You really need to do some reading on how microphones work. Go take a good read-through of the meta.
