Hey,

Don't know the best place to post this...
I'm going to move my shop from my old house to a new place in the next few days.
Anyone have a good trick to pack and move loads of parts in electronics tray racks?  The long process I was going to go with was to bag every tray, and pack separately.  Just seeing if someone's come up with a clever way to keep things together as is, without unloading.
I'm talking about these kind of storage racks,

The company I work for recently bought an electronic surplus place.  I helped pack up their inventory, including a hundred or so of those racks, full.  We found this worked:
- put two of the racks back to back, with the drawers facing outward
- stretch wrap the two racks together as tightly and securely as possible
- carefully lift the racks into boxes (gaylords on skids, in our case), making sure to leave no empty space in the box
- make sure everything stays the right way up in transit.

We only lost a drawer or two of contents over the whole thing.  Easy.

Be careful lifting the racks once you've wrapped them;  the contents may be heavy enough that the plastic will break if lifted from the top.  I cut up my hand when this happened with one...

If you need to move individual parts bins, make tight stacks and shrinkwrap top to bottom around the whole stack.
