Was made in November of 1968. Just got the email back from Neumann.

I decided I'm going to buy a capsule from sennheiser for it. But that was before I bought a really expensive car, and the capsule cost about as much as a car payment, so We'll See.

I noticed one on evilbay.
They say it is an original and needs a clean.
Have a look.
Or even at one of the Peluso capsules as this
doesn't have to cost you a whole pile of cash.

gold loss... it sounds different on one side than it does the other.

If it is old and needs a clean I would guess the gold is ready to fall off otherwise the person selling it most likely would have had it cleaned and kept it.

Only buy something like that if you are going to reskin it, make sure to caculate the reskin in the price.
