Does anyone have any details on these Sowter 3119's ??

I can't seem to find anything, they were bought here but I forget when or what they were supposed to
be paired with !!

Quite large, about 6cm high and 3.5 cm wide
Thanks,
Marty.

What DCR can you mesure? that would give an idea of the nominal Z.

you could email Brian S with the same pic attached and he will probably respond in a timely fashion,

Thanks CJ, have done so ... not near my tools right now so I can't measure them today.

Regards,
Martin.

Got a nice quick reply from Brian :

"3119 was designed for Decca in 1970.
It is a 600/600 Ohm isolator designed for 8V rms at 40 Hz.
The primary is Orange to Grey and the secondary is Blue to Red.
Black is an internal electrostatic shield, Core is 100% Mumetal.
With a 600 Ohm source and load I would expect it to have an HF -3 dB at
around 60 kHz and LF around 10 Hz"

:)
