I'm interested to hear more about it, myself.

I've been wanting a ribbon mic, but I just can't justify spending a lot of bread for my hobbyist application. For music recording, my only client is... me!

I believe a great sounding one (designed by someone we all know and love!) may hit the market in the not too distant future.

Yeah, I bought a Nady ribbon. I like it, it has good top end and works well for me on my acoustic guitar. I record with the mic about 18" away to avoid bass proximity effect, and boost at 10k just a little.

Also used it recently on whistle/flute with good results too.

It's not a mic for everything but for the price I figure worth having in the cupboard.

At the time I first tried it, I also tried a Royer which won the contest by a modest margin but it was three times the price and I couldn't stretch to that.
