I'm trying to get one up to spec.
Lots of crackling gain pots, and one channel goes "Wroooom!" when I turn on the (global) phantom power.

Quite a bit of hiss also on all channels.

Does anyone have a service manual and or schematic?

Any tips?

Thanks,
hejsan

while we're on a tl theme , i'd be curious to see the 8 ch " conditioner "
unit , i always thought something like that may be handy for bal / un imp convert and things other than / as well as tube .

Thank you thank you thank you :green: :guinness: :guinness: :guinness:

If you don't use the pre's, what do you use it for? just eq?

BTW: I've never encountered pots going that bad on any other gear, It's hard to find any spot on the pot that doesn't crack.

Yes, the gain pots are true crap on this mini-console.
I think you should be able to replace them..

I use the eqs, not bad at all IMHO, and
what I like the most of the M3 is the slight color/saturation of the line paths [the yellow leds are very useful],
so I'm plannig to use it as a line-mixer, or just as a multiple-outboard effect,
or as an additional good-spaced routing-patchbay [have also a speck xtramix, tons of knobs in little space],
I already have/am_building great pres, so no need.

Love the faders feel too.
