Need help with LM3914 GR meter

Hi Everyone,

I built the following GR meter to use with a VCA compressor similar to Igor's 4KCC.

The leds are always ON... with or without an input signal.

Any help would be appreciated!

what is CV voltage?

It's suppose to be 10dB = 2.5V

I can take some readings tonight...

It might be useful to measure the voltage on all important pins.

Connect pin2, 4 and 8 to ground. Connect pin 6 to pin 7 and change R201 to 3k3
Use a separate voltage regulator for the LED circuit to get rid of some noise.

I did the connections you mentioned and added a trimmer from pin 8 to ground to calibrate the voltage reference.
