It looks like it's a preamp or line amp but I don't know.  I got it in a trade a couple years ago and haven't used it yet.  Anyone have schematics or other information on it?

bump.

it seems mighty simple, 2 sets of differential inputs, 2 outputs, 2 grounds and a power pin for the card.

The question of the day is:

What voltage was this designed to run off of?  My guess would be 24 but I haven't reversed the circuit to find out.

It has vintage silicon BJTs though.  I was hoping for germanium though.  Maybe I'll switch them out.

I'd sure guess 24 VDC; biggest question regards polarity with respect to ground.  BUT, it's not a part number I've heard of.

Have a look at the polarisation of the capacitors. That will tell you if it needs a positive or negative supply voltage.
24 volts sounds reasonable to me. Here also the voltages on the capacitors might give an indication.
(If they used 25 volts capacitors, I would think the supply voltage should be lower than 24 V!)

Don't know if topic is still open.. I have a rack of 8 running on a 24vDC card that was made specifically for the 692AD

Ack! I'm really busy nowadays, so I really apologize for the loooong delay in checking in on GroupDIY.

692AD is a good preamp. They're just a few stages with a Beyer xformer up front, and I use them in my studio as mic preamps. They sound good.
