I've got four Barth U211 compressors whitch are very old.
I want to check and recap them and adjust the trimpots.
I searched the web for schematics, but I found nothing . I emailed to Barth KG but they don't respond me.
So I need help! Has sombody the schematics?

Please help me!

Moin soundcave,

try

www.schmitronic.de

They sell Barth modules and they usually have schematics for their stuff...

I think nobody can help me,

I wrote to schmitronic, they answer me, but they didn't have schematics.

I wrote to barth KG, but the didn't answer me.

I searched the whole web (I think), and I found nothing, no schematics and no service manuals. So I don't know how to trim the trimpots to get the 3 Barth sound almost the same.

So I will Trim all pots and will have a look what is going on..

I also need Barth schematics, but for the 19" stereo Barth Dynaset. I believe this is a different design then the u311 schematic linked above.

Can anyone point me to a copy?

Hi all,

I need to bump this thread although it's more than 10 years old. Hope it's fine.

Thing is I'm looking for the Barth U311 schematic. Manual with pinout is fine too.
I've been googling my *ss off. No luck anywhere.

Got a pair of these modules & am rather eager to try them out.
Worst case I'll be doing some internal tracing (but I rather not).

Thanks!

Best regards,
Olle

Thanks moamps! Apparently I could've googled better.
Might be something to add to tech docs. They pop up now and then.

Still no luck. as the documents floating around contain no hookup information for the danner module version.

Anyone?

I will try and help,

For the Dynaset u311 the Inputs are in the top Right corner over R1 and R2  Ground in the middle.  that should be easy to locate on the PCB and trace to the connector on the back

Outputs are a bit tricky as im not sure if the box with "Ausgang Symm" is on the PCB or if it is something you should connect externally.  I suspect the later and therefore you might not have transformer (or electrically) balanced outputs on this unit. Then the output of IC5 would go directly to a pin on the back connector for external balancing.

As far as i understand the Schematic this unit needs +/- 18V though so a normal 24V danner  PSU wont work. The Input for voltage and ground is also easy as they are traceable to the 2 regulators IC11 and IC12. The diodes D5 and D6 protect the circuit from wrong polarity and would give a good clue to wich polarity goes where.

Lycka till!

Hi!

I actually solved it, so thanks! Sorry for not replying earlier, but I complete forgot about both the thread and the module.
The module's just been sitting there in the rack - until tonight.

You were right about the unbalanced output - I hooked it up to a 1:1 line transformer and all looks good.

I bumped the +/-18V down to 15 by bypassing the regulators as I have a 15 volts regulated power supply already connected to the rack.

This one works wonders - even nicer sounding than the EMT 256's I have  :)

Hi,

me myself totally forgot about this thread so we are now equal!

Anyhow, im happy i could help you.

Im too lazy to check the schematic but my first thought are:

Are the regulator a 15V one? If not then, you are loosing 3V headroom with the 15V supply. As the design might be calculated for 18VThreshold and other functions probably don't work as they should.

Bumping an old thread. Most of the links / attachments are long gone. Anyone care to share U211 or U311 schematics? First off would like to mount my single U211 into an ADR Scamp rack running at +/- 28V. I've adapted MXR Auto Phasers and Flangers to this format with a voltage regulator, so hopefully I can do the same here.
