I have a KM56 that I'm getting ready to sell that has seen no use in years. BUT the PSU filament side doesn't work. It's a mystery who made it-it might be Russian or Eastern European. See attached photos. The pass transistor is blown and it's a 92 date code and too far gone to know pinout or sex. I suspect the p/n is Cyrillic as even Google is stumped. I'd love to find a schematic if anyone has info to share! The center pin is connected to the tab, so I assume that's the Collector. I tried both an NPN & PNP with the usual TO220 pinout (TIP29 & TIP30)--no luck. I don't look forward to tracing the circuit!
It is quite a complex supply with 8 transistors, an L7805, L7905, an SE5534 and a 2nd 8p DIP with a Cyrillic number. I'm tempted to simply take the raw 16VDC and fed it into a low noise LDO to get the 4V I need, but would like to restore this supply if possible. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks in advance,
Ivan
