HI Guys,

are just the PCB's available for these or do i have to buy kit?
Im looking for just a pcb so i can put into 1U case rather than do the 500 series ideally but could adapt the 500 pcb.

regards

SPence.

Why not build them as they are, and get one of those 1U rack cases for 500 series?

Exactly what the doctor ordered.  Two or three space 1U.

Hey everyone!
I'm now offering a 1073 EQ addon for anyone with the NV73 mic pre who want to convert it into the full 1073 (ie. with EQ)

Here's some pictures!

Is the preamp / eq available in a 51X version?
Thanks!
Old-ish post but I thought I'd answer. The Main PCB for the 1073 has fingers for 51X (at least it used to). I have built two with the EQ add-on. The completed 1073/EQ is pretty dense.

For the 1073 itself, there are four PCB's. A "main" PCB that has 51X pins that can be cut off if desired. A 16V to 24V DC-DC converter PCB that mounts to the side of the metal frame that does not need to be used or populated if using the 51X pins. Then there are two PCBs for the transformers to make wiring them easy.

The EQ add adds two full size PCB's and a new front-panel. The EQ add-on is powered from the Main PCB and is held in place by stand-offs that extend from the main PCB mounts.

The whole project isn't too complex, but it does take some patience and will take a couple of nights and a six-pack to complete. :)

Thanks for the reply, I will take that as confirmation that this is 51x compatible.
I have built several of these, but it has been a while and I usually use the DC-DC converter for 500 use, so I just don't remember if it has the 24 volt edge pins.
Unfortunately that converter is NLA, but the current need has the 24 VDC rail available as it is 51x so I am good to go.

Has anybody heard anything from Dave recently?

Myself and others have been emailing, but no response (Through his website)....

If anybody has any info, please let me know.

Cheers :)
I guess it doesn't really help because that's 3 weeks ago already:
Bought a Blueface and he was responsive :)
