Hello!
I’m researching Neve 3600 psu right now.
This is a regulated 24V 5A psu with builtin sensing, overload protection and over voltage protection what was used to power up 80's consoles.
One of the main part of this psu is a BA358 pcb which contain sensing, regulation and protection circuits (see attached). It contain one mystery component. In schematic and bom it called SCR.
Does any one know what the component is it?)

That's a Silicon Controlled Rectifier

Cool devices... they can work almost like a "latching transistor" or a "turnonable diode" sometimes... I'm far from an expert on them, but I played around with a couple back in the 90s.  Never have seen one since except in some older power supply gear.

Cool. Thanks for the link)
What do you think, using of this devise in our days will be like throwback or pretty reasonable  application?))

That may be part of a "Crowbar" circuit:

Again something I'm not much of an expert on, but some technicians at an old job of mine were repairing a power supply that used an SCR and I believe it was used in a similar manner to this.
