Hey Guys,

For some reason struggling to find an answer on the inter webs for this.

I'm looking to have a custom built 3RU rack for mounting 2 1066 modules.

I have located the dimensions of the 45 series front panel for Neve modules via AMS.

The dimensions being 45 mm (1.8 inch) x 222 mm (8.75 inch).

I'm wondering if anyone could please provide me with a drawing of these front panels with exact dimensions and locations of the 4 mounting holes and the 5th hole?

I'm just looking to confirm with my own measurements.

Also, would these panels have been designed in inches or mm? Not sure what the predominant scale would have been used by Neve back then given the timing of the introduction of the metric system in the UK.

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers,

Matt

I have done some pretty exact measuring of some old panels when i did some myself and your measurments for the outer dimensions are correct, 45x222mm
The four mounting holes should be 5mm in from the bottom and top and 7.4mm in from the sides.
These are countersunk for 6BA screws

Middle hole is just centered 5mm up from the bottom.

Hi API,

Awesome thanks for the info, exactly what I was after.

So do you think if I was to cut the main panel holes 0.5mm wider around (ie 46mm x 223), that this would be a decent amount of space to flush mount them, without too much of a gap?

Thanks again,

Matt
