I'm was tinkering with my own, non-500-type 1084 line eq for my own use, but would jump on a couple of these if the price is right.

Seems price is an issue with others who have posted in this thread too.  Do you, as of yet, have any rough ballpark on what this will cost the end user?

Carnhill input, custom output, big inductor, 3 Grayhill single deck rotaries and a bucket of other stuff.

This isn't going to be done on the cheap.

51x compatible, but a snip and a file makes it standard.
Means you can leave out the dc-dc converter and associated gubbins if a 51 boy.

I remember reading at a forum once that a high quality high and low pass filter unit would make a killing because theres none available. iangomes, if you built a kit, I reckon it will do well. I have no idea how difficult it would be though to design and build?????

Shinybox offers 500 series filters now that are supposedly pretty awesome (I have yet to hear them for myself).
