I bought a psu and toroid from Gustavs this week but im soo confused.
The toroid (trt30218) 230v - 2x18v has 2 thick yellows wires which my guess is for ac input. This is where i get confused. There are 1 brown, 1 red and then a green and blue twisted and welded together. Which cable is what and where do they go? this is the psu board: https://pcbgrinder.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=97
Here is the datasheet for the toroid http://www.schukat.com/schukat/pdf.nsf/index/C1649F551BE0652EC1257834002F3061/$file/TRT30.pdf
All help is appreciated.

Ty in advance

Hi,

The two yellow wires are the primarys of the torrid. These go to your mains. Green, Red, Brown and Blue are your secondaries. To get the +18/-18 or +15/-15 you need to connect the green wire to one terminal of the PCB, red and brown are both connected to the mid terminal and blue is connected to the last one. To be 100% shure, you should get to know how these things work yourself. It's really important to know what you are doing, working with such high voltages!

Ty for your answer. What really made me confused was the fact that the Green and blue wires where welded together. But what you say makes sense.

I messured 40v between brown and red. 20 v between red and blue/green and same between brown and blue/green.
So my guess is that it doesnt matter then and that i can weld green/blue to the middle terminal

These http://web.archive.org/web/20090914070140/http://www.diyfactory.com/data/transformer_connections.gif are the typical transformer connections. These will work in ecery case. If you wire your toroid different you might damage it.
