Newb question: What type of toggle switch for taking resistor out of circuit?

Sorry for the ultra basic question...

I want to buy a toggle switch that I can put into a signal path, where I can switch it one way and have a resistor in the circuit, and switch it the other way to bypass the resistor but still pass signal. I definitely understand the switching mechanics, but as I go to Mouser or Digikey to buy something like this, the choices are overwhelming. A link would be especially helpful. Thank you so much!

(I would include DPDT. They are often the same price, and you may decide you want an LED to indicate mode.)

The cheapest items will be caps, brackets, and teeny switches you can't work by finger. Keep going until you find something that looks good.

Unless you are switching many Watts (speakers), switch ratings are not important.
