Hello Everyone !!!

What a great forum. I'm getting ready to build my first DIY project (2 Green Pres) and I am in the process of ordering my parts so I thought I'd ask some questions.

1. On the Lorlin Rotary Switches Do I need to order Shorting or Non-Shorting?

2. When picking resistors I've been picking Vishay/Dale 1/2W 1% Metal Film Resistors. From searching the forum it seems like this is an ok brand. Should I be using Metal Film or something else for sound? Does the resistors have that much effect on the sound? I've found lots of info on Caps but not so much on resistors so any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Lorlin get the MBB (make-before -break) That would be non-shorting.
It can make a little click if it is shorting-maybe not in this circuit, but in some.

The metal film are good resistors. There newer than the ceramic types, and hold their values longer.

Good luck!

Sure,
I just realized I'm not sure which is shorting and which is not.
Get the MBB (make before break) though.

Doh-I think it is shorting-sorry.

Make B4 break IS shorting. Hence the ''making the next connection before breaking the last"
