Just posting this here in case the information is useful to someone in the future:

I have a Selmer/RSA RL1 Ribbon microphone, manufactured in England between 1947 and 1958.
Maybe this is applicable to other British mics of that era as well?
At a casual glance, the mounting threads look like a standard 3/8 socket, but they are not.
The thread is 5/16 - 22 BSF (British Standard Fine). Apparently common in the UK, but we don't see much of it in the US.
