I started renovating my house and my woodworking shop where I build my guitars this week using old growth pine which has been reclaimed from the bottom of the Ottawa River.

Being a luthier, I love wood....and when I heard about this stuff I had to check it out. Let me tell ya, this pine is breathtaking! It's beautiful and since it's old growth (meaning that it was cut down when the forest was virgin and trees grew slowly because there was a dense canopy) it's way more dense and resistant to dents than any pine you can buy today.
It'll probably take me a couple of more weeks to finish, and I'll post some photos then.
Cheers,
Freddy :sam:
