Recently a friend dropped off an old Studiomaster 16 x 8 x 2. I'm rebuilding the power supply for him and I want to pull some modules for service. Has anyone had any experience working on one of these? The board is not modular so the PCB have to come out. I can release the module PCBs by pulling the knobs and unscrewing the pots but the XLR's are riveted to the chassis and soldered to the PCB so they are not going anywhere. How the heck are these intended to be serviced? Drilling out rivets seems extreme just to service a module. Is there a trick I'm missing? I'm sure it will be a trip down memory lane for anyone that remembers these but I'm hoping someone might.

Neutrik made an XLR which can be removed from its shell. There is a small locking lever operated by a slotted peice in the end of the connector.
