Im trying to understand this circuit here. The line coming off picture is the input to the tone stack, out of the tone stack into a recovery gain stage. U14 is an OTA.
I understand C37 is a coupling cap. R52 sets the impedance of pin2 input. The other dif, input is grounded. R53 brings the signal down to the OTAs proper voltage input.
I believe R55 and C38 set some kind of frequency compensation but I dont know what that actually means for the part. The rest of the circuitry around V14 is a mystery to me. Someone once told me it was an expander circuit of some kind but without understanding how this part is actually working, I dont understand what Im looking at and how someone could tell by looking at the schematic.
