Otari 5050 help

Hi I have a problem with my Otari 5050 take up tension. Can anyone recommend a tech in the Washington DC area?

Could be a lot of things. If you describe the problem in more detail there are folks here that might have insight.

The tension arm / safety switch (8) is not moving freely. Moves but is stiff.

I have tried to lubricate it but and exercise but is still stiff / not springy..
