The stancor is a beast / mil spec and I'd say it's pretty similar to an HS-56

I ended putting them in my old SSL desk.It was xformerless n best decision I’ve ever made.I spent well under 1000$ for the 1538’s direct from Lundahl - Sweden

1538 and 1538xl are mic input transformers, that’s what the lundahl site says. How’d you fit them to your ssl?
