Apart from maybe not tracking quite like a single control, but is there any other reason not to parallel a dual track slider to get the right value when the required single track slider is not obtainable?
[Edit] It's a log fader.

no reason at all.

-In fact a 10K dual -when paralelled- becomes a 5k single, and the dual-wiper arrangement makes it slightly better protected against completely open-wiper issues...

I do it all the time. -So long as both gangs are the same law, there are no issues.

So Keith if I did two 5K Dual rev logs in parallel, I could use it on the 9K

It would only cost $65 in pots for one channel (from digikey)
