Passive PTT switch

I know this forum is for digital logic but I thought it might be a good place for this.
I’m attempting to wire up a passive talkback switch with a push-to-talk on the desk and a footswitch. I know relays or other logic could be used but trying to use just spdt switches at the moment.

I can’t seem to work out how to get both to unshort (unmute) the circuit individually. One switch is obviously simple enough. Xlr pins 2 &3 shorted through NC position on the momentary switch. Here’s a simplified (without de popping components) drawing of what I mean. How can I add another switch for unmuting?

Wrong! This group is for ANY kind of DIY, even it it tends to concentrate on analog audio.

Yes. And it’s very simple. Don’t know why I was overthinking this...either too much coffee or not enough. I kept thinking series but drawing it out in parallel and saying this won't work...
