Hi guys, what do you think for a passive summing in front of a GSSL compressor?
Is it possible to do that?
I saw the NYD schemo, but i don't know the input impedence of the GSSL, for 16ch is it ok 4.4k resistors?

Hey, I just tried this config out (as these boxes are all my rack contains atm ;p)

So, in that ssl pictured I left those 15K's as 15K's (didnt change to 27K for unity), does that mean with makeup included (20dB) plus this extra 6 (as im running all balanced) we land at 26 total...?

In NYD psv mixer schem, loss is stated at 25dB (without vol control), so all in all we're down 1?

Sounds good to me anyway :thumb:

I remember from 4000 schematics that compressor is incorporated into summing section. Some matched transistor in front and NE5534 in the v.ground. So, its possible, but with some input stage mods
