PCB hole spacing of Alctron GT2B / Nady TCM1050 / other rebrands?

Am i really so out of line for suggesting that your first reply might've been more appropriate in the flat k47 thread, perhaps?

As opposed to here, where (i thought) i had quite clearly asked for mounting hole spacing measurements (as opposed to capsule reviews or build ideas). Or there's always the private messaging system in place, as well...

I think so, yes. Forum threads regularly go off topic, and anyone who can help you is still free to post so it didn't hurt you for me to reply to something someone said in your thread. I actually clicked on this thread to see if I could help you, since I'll have my sct-700 open in about 4 hours.

To be honest, I don't know why I'm spending time defending myself, let's put each other on ignore and move on.

Sure, tangents are to be expected, but tangents shooting off of a throwaway remark that was a side-note to the main bulk of a post is a bit of a stretch.

Great that you mention that only now - you COULD have considered leading with that, perhaps? Although as you may or may not have noticed, @micolas had already provided me with the measurements i had asked, from his SCT700, so... I hope you can still understand how and why i might have been miffed about a reply that was sooo very far removed from the topic title and questions in the original post..?

As mentioned, the spacing between the mounting holes (in both directions, assuming 4 screws), as well as the distance between the bottom edge of the headbasket, and the topmost pair of mounting holes :)
My 1050 has only two mounting holes for the PCB. They are 38.5mm between them. 29mm from the bottom of the PCB (near the transformer. They are 2.5mm in from the edge of the pcb. the pcb is 44.22mm wide.

Aha, so that sounds more close to the SCT700 then..? Also looks that way...
SCT-700 uses 12ax7, has higher gain and a single capsule, it is only cardioid. 1050 uses 12at7/6072 with different specifications, for example lower gain and a different capsule,
with dual-diaphragm that offers no less than 9 polar patterns.
So I would say the sound is different.

My apologies for the limitations of english expressions, but i was ONLY talking about the PCB dimensions / mounting hole number & positioning.

I had asked @McIrish about the exact things in my initial post. Where else have i expressed any interest about the audio aspect of these mics, hmm? ;) Quite the contrary...

@Khron
I apologize for the misunderstandings related to the language. I don't speak English, I use a Google translator, which often makes mistakes in context, especially in technical language.
I am Latin, I make great efforts to understand the nuances of English conversations. I know that derailing threads makes it difficult to later search for specific information, I always end up wasting hours searching answers without success. Once again, I sincerely apologize

No harm done - I only meant the description of the PCB dimensions sounded like the SCT700. Difficult (or naive) to assume anything about the sound of a mic, based only on the size of the circuit board, right? :D

I admit that I was also a little surprised when I thought you were asking for information about the sound of the two models.🤔
In my native language 'sounds' refers strictly to acoustics, we use the expression 'similarity'.
I lived for several years in Spain. Although it is a Latin country with very close grammar, in the first years I thought everything in my native language and translated everything, including expressions, into Spanish.
Then I adapted and thought Spanish. Now, back home, although quite a few years have passed, I find myself thinking in Spanish and using Spanish expressions. Both languages are very rich in synonyms, there are even ten words, expressions to describe an object, situations, event, states, etc.
In contrast, the English language seems poorer, it uses one word to describe several situations.
We all understand these differences in semantics, and we try to communicate as efficiently as possible in the interest of all

Eyeballing it from the photos there, there should be another... 10-15mm between the tube PCB and the plate that holds the capsule mount..?

Should i then understand that at least one version of the TCM1050 is (at least mechanically) virtually identical to the SCT700? Kinda looks like it...

Alctron HSGT-2B pretty much "checks out". Using the bigger electrolytics' diameter of 8mm as a reference on my display, i'm measuring about 50mm length of the big PCB, with another ~9mm to go until the capsule mounting base plate. I'd welcome some confirmation, but i won't blame you people if you can't be bothered 😁

My SCT-700 (waiting for a K47)
Mechanically it seems identical to at least one TCM-1050 version.

Thanks again! But since you've got it open, could you also measure the (minimum) inside diameter of the "chassis" of the headbasket, please? Should be the last dimension i need :D

I closed it until I receive the capsule, to avoid contamination as much as possible, but it's no problem.
The PCB of the tube goes beyond the surface of the headbasket chassis, they expanded the useful space, but they still did not manage to put a socket for the tube (or they did not want to, for reasons of profitability, or to discourage repair or modification of the microphone) I put more many details. It's a slightly peculiar internal arrangement.
