Anybody with experience on these for 1: 1 matching transformers
personal likes or dislikes ? sound quality etc ?

Looking for pin information on these ?

I installed two of them in the outputs of my g-pultec and they sound beautiful. Nicer to my ears than lundahls and triad hs that I tried. They give the unit some characteristic "balls" in the bass region that only a good transformer can.  8)

I would love to hear other peoples opinion about them also

Should go nicely in front section of a EQP1A, or in,and possibly outs on a 1A3 ( api version )

Gevermil,

I see that now

yes the primary is at 250 on the 1A3 output, not 150 .

I'll have to try it and see what it will sound like. Maybe the transformer
will be able to handle the 100 ohm impedance difference since its high to low
instead of low to high at the primary of the output TX .

That freq spec, well, someone should sweep this transformer.

The HS 56 is a flatter transformer, the bass might be better on the Peerless.

One of the Peerless designs , the E 204 D? has lams with holes in them, some type of weird lam mojo thing that somebody dreamed about while touring a Swiss Cheese factory or something.

Rumor has it that the infamous Ersel  Harrison of S 217 D fame might have "borrowed" some design ideas from Western Electric, but don't tell anybody.

Good info CJ

I don't have the designer skills to make the impedance match up with the E204D like the 56V.

do you see any impedance problem with a 100 ohm difference from the original 56V SS/1A3 across the primary of the output tx compared to the E 204D , 56V is 250 ohm while the  E204D would operate at 150 ohm.

Seems it would'nt be cause for big concern, maybe a small gain loss. But a listening test is in line , I thinks.

The gyraf pultec is a 2:1 ratio output, so not the same setup as a SS/1A3.

I don't think the 2520 will have a problem pushing 150 ohms .
At any rate Im close to experimenting with a gazillion output transformers for the SS pultec circuit .
Triads , peerless , freeds , We's . If it really makes any difference Ill post .
Hey Max ever ship out those cores ?
Gary
