anyway got links tro peerless transformer information.

I am trying to find info on a peerless power transformer which in the bom  and schematic says peerless 6606

That won't be listed anywhere other than that PSU document.  I have that supply here, may eventually be able to get you data from it.  Altec/Peerless, same company.  I don't know of any differing branding.  Have a 250SU there? 
 
There are several different bench supplies out there (Lambda, etc) that deliver this current range from an adjustable regulated perspective, sometimes they go relatively cheap since few people need so much. 

The 535A sheet gives many interesting lessons: wire size, critical nature of filament versus B+. 
 
good to know. I'm trying to find some or build something  300VDC would be perfect at a few hundred miliamps. Based on calculations, should get me where I need to go and have room to spare.
