Hi!! I'm troubleshooting a Peluso 2247 that has a strange issue... it working perfectlry until speaking into the mic, right after that apears on the audio a sweep noise like a synth's saw wave that rise, goes down and desapear... checked all the voltages on the PSU seems to be right. Changed two Zeners in PSU, tested the tube (6072) on a tube tester and it's good... but the problem persists.
Anyone has an idea?
Thanks

This is moisture condensing on the capsule and bleeding off the charge, by providing a conductive path to ground (through the condensed moisture).

You can prove it by just breathing on it just as you would breathe on a window or mirror, to 'fog' it up.

Try it... I *guarantee* that's the problem.

To solve the problem? -Well, either don't breathe on it... (be further away) or replace the capsule with one not coated in hydrophilic deposits from singer's breath. -Or warm the microphone.

dry out the capsule...
Waste of time.

The problem isn't inside, it's on the surface.

The capsule probably has hydrophilic deposits on the surface. Salts and electrolytes massively alter the conductivity of water.

Replace capsule, or use it for dry work only.

Hey Thanks for your fast reply! So is moisture in the capsule! Ok, should I heat smoothly the capsule? Or it must be replaced in any case?
Thanks
